The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Quest Summary and Checklist

Kokiri Village: Get theKokiri Sword in Kokiri Forest, collect at least 40 Rupees to buy aDeku Shield, and go to the Great Deku Tree.
Great Deku Tree: Get the Slingshot, light the torches, burn the webs, defeat the deku scrubs to get information out of them, and defeat Gohma.
Hyrule Castle: Head to Hyrule Castle, leave Hyrule Castle, return to Hyrule Castle, talk to Malon, receive a chicken egg from Malon, wait for the chicken eggto hatch,use it to wake up Malon'sdad Talon, avoid being detectedby patrols/guards, andmeet and talk withPrincess Zelda.
Lost Woods: Return to Kokiri Forest. Head into the mysterious woods -- and try not to get lost in the Forest Maze. Learn Saria's Song.

Visit Kakariko Village, start some new sidequests and gather resources. Then show the guard near the gate that leads to Death Mountain, the letter that Princess Zelda gave you.
Climb Death Mountain to get to Goron City: Get access to the Death Mountain pass,visit Goron City, stand near the entrance to where you will meet Darunia, play Zelda's Lullaby,meet and stand near Darunia, play Saria's Song, get the Goron Bracelet.
Exit the Goron Cave and set a bomb near the rock that is blocking the entrance to Dodongo's Cavern.Enterthe cave,get Bombs, and defeat King Dodongo.
Zora's Domain: Go to Zora's River, play Zelda's Lullaby to make an entrance through the waterfall, Head into Zora's Domain, go to the room where the Zora King is at, go through a tunnel that is located on the left side of the Zora King, talk to the Zora in the tunnel,complete a diving challenge by collecting rupees scattered in the fountain, receive the silver scales by talking tothe Zora in the tunnel, equip the silver scales, dive into the fountain, go through an entrance in the fountain that will lead you to Lake Hylia, dive into the lake to grab a bottle that contains a letter, show the bottlethat contains a letter to the Zora King, wait for the Zora King to make an entrance for you (mwweeep, mwwwweep, mmwwwweep, mwwweeep), go through that entrance.
Catch a fish with the bottle that used to contain the letter, stand in front of Jabu-Jabu, release the fish you have caught,get Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly, escort Princess Ruto, use Princess Rutoto help you solve puzzles by placing her on panels, get the Boomerang, and defeat Barinade.
Temple of Time: Go to Hyrule, meet Ganondorf, retrieve the Ocarina of Time in the moat,visit the Temple of Time (should be able to see it on the rightside of the courtyard), and get the Master Sword.

Karariko Graveyard: Get the Hookshot (as an adult)(see details in theForest Templesection), and learn the Sun's Song (by playing Zelda's Lullaby at the north side of Kakariko Graveyard to reveal a hole and enter the hole).
Lon Lon Ranch: Meet with Malon as a child, talk to Malon until she invites you to sing with her, show Malon your Ocarina,learn Epona's Song, revisit the Lon Lon Ranch as an adult, pay Ingo to enter the ranch, play Epona's Song, mount the horse (Epona)approaching you, ride it over ramps (over the center of the ramps to earn rupees)as time flies, talk to Ingo until he challenges you to a race (if he does not challenge you to a race, then tell him that you are finish riding horses, pay him again to enter the ranch, and repeat the same process), beat Ingo two times (without fail), and jump over a fence or a gate on horseback.
Forest Temple: Go to Kakariko Graveyard, move one of the tombstones on the left side of the Graveyard to reveal the hole, go into the hole, beat the Spirit of the Gravekeeper's challenge, get the Hookshot, go through Lost Woods, learn the Minuet of Forest song,enter the Forest Temple, get the Fairy Bow, shoot at the paintings revealing the Poes with the Fairy Bow,anddefeat Phantom Ganon.
Fire Temple: Visit Goron Cave, attack a rolling Goron with a bomb, talk to the Goron,get the Fire Tunic, equip the Fire Tunic (so that you will be immune to the heat in the Fire Temple)go to theroom where Darunia use to be at, move the throne (left or right)to reveal an entrance,enter the Fire Temple, learn the Bolero of Fire song, free the Gorons, talk to the Gorons to receive some helpful hints on how to complete the Fire Temple,get the Hammer, use the Hammer to pound the panels you are not able to put pressure on with your body,and defeat Volvagia.
Ice Cavern: Return to Zora's Domain, find the Ice Cavern, catch some fire by using an empty bottle,get the Iron Boots, use the Iron Boots to submerge underwater,learn the Serenade of Water song,unfreeze King Zora by using the fire you caught in the bottle,get the Zora Tunic by talking to King Zora, and equip the Zora Tunic so that you will not drown underwater.
Water Temple: Enter the Water Temple, meet with Princess Ruto at the lowest floor of the Water Temple, find a triforce symbol, stand near the symbol to play Zelda's lullaby to change the level of the water in the Water Temple,get the Longshot, defeat DarkLink, defeatMorpha, and get the Fire Arrows (by shooting at the rising sun at dawn with arrows atLake Hylia).

Bottom of the Well: Go to Kakariko, go into the windmill, show Guru Guru (the guy playing with a phonograph) your ocarina, learn the Song of Storms, revisit the windmill as a child, play the Song of Storms (to drain the water in the well),enter the well, and get the Lens of Truth.
Shadow Temple: Go to the Temple of Time, place the Master Sword in the pedestal (to return to the childhood era), visit The Great Fairy near Hyrule Castle, receive Din's Fire from The Great Fairy, go to the Temple of Time, grab the Master Sword (to return to the adulthood era), enter the Shadow Temple, get the Hover Boots, use the hover boot to get to places you can not jump to,use the Lens of Truth to observe what is hidden in the rooms of the Shadow Temple,and defeat Bongo Bongo.
Gerudo Fortress: Gain access to Gerudo Valley (by using the Longshot or by riding Epona), infiltrate Gerudo Fortress without being spotted, release the carpenters,get the Gerudo pass, master the Gerudo Training Ground, and get the Ice Arrows.
Spirit Temple: Cross the desert, enter the Spirit Temple, exit the Spirit Temple to learn the Requiem of Spirit song, enter the Spirit Temple as a child, get the Silver Gauntlets, leave the Spirit Temple, return to the Spirit Templeas an Adult,get the Mirror Shield, use the Mirror Shield to reflect light on objects,defeat Twinrova, go to the Temple of Time, and get the Light Arrows.
Ganon's Castle: Enter Ganon's towering castle, shut down the barriers, get the Golden Gauntlets, exit Ganon's Tower, visit the Great Fairy of Courage (near Ganon's Tower outside) to enhance you defense, re-enter Ganon's Tower,defeat Ganondorf, escape Ganon's Tower before the time reaches to zero,and defeat Ganon.
Watch the ending and roll credits.
